Need positive feedback on westathomenebraska.com (work at home)

Has anyone out there worked for West at Home? This is a work at home business based in Omaha, Nebraska. The parent company is West Corporation, which has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
I just sat through a West at Home presentation in Clay Center, Nebraska. The rep stated that West at Home is hiring approximately 2500 work at home employees per month. It doesn't cost anything to sign up. However, employees must pay for their own background check ($29.95), which is done by West at Home's designated agency. And, of course, they have to pass the background check before employment.
The whole thing sounds too good to be true. The Better Business Bureau states "You should not have to pay a fee to learn the details of a job, secure job-placement assistance, obtain a "background" or "identity" screening or accept an employment offer.
In the meantime, please let me know if you've worked for them and had positive results.

Marilyn,
It is true that you shouldn't have to pay for your own background check in most cases. You should check this company out with the local BBB to get their opinion:
BBB of Nebraska, South Dakota & Southwest Iowa WWW: http://nebraska.bbb.org Email: info@bbbnebraska.org Phone: (402)436-2345 Fax: (402)476-8221 3633 O Street, Ste. 1 Lincoln NE 68510-1670

I have worked for Westathome.net from home since 2008 on and off on projects, my last project ended Dec 2012. They are a legit company to work for. Yes I had to pay for my background check, I think that still stems from the time when west as home was hireing independent contractors, now you are an employee when you work from home. Your hourly rate will be around $ 9.00 plus minus. Depending on the project. Most work at home jobs you will have to pay for your background check, I have done it with 3 companys. Liveops and alpineaccess also ask you to pay partially for background check. Petra52623 on google
