I was provided a flat rate quote (267 cubic ft) by this company of $1000 due to the small amount of items I was moving. The day of pick up,3/8/11 the drivers showed up at 10pm when they were supposed to pick up between 12-5. The drivers asked if I had anyone to help them move my items. Of course, I said NO since this is what I'm paying for. They then told me it appeared I had more than what was on my contract however I actually had less than was on it. I was very exact with my move list to them when I got the quote. I did not exceed boxes & even removed some items. The driver was demanding an add'l $475 in cash prior to taking my items saying I had more than 267 cu. ft. I refused & told them to leave & immediately called Sergio (mgr/owner?) who told me he'd send them back & not to give them any money and to just mail him my money order for $500 (1/2 the move amt). They never returned and my calls went unanswered by Sergio & truck driver. I emailed Xpress immediately documenting my issues. The next day they emailed saying they would not reschedule pick up unless I sign a new contract for $1475 total. I was under the gun due to the fact that I was moving from ATL to Los Angeles for a job and could not find another mover. They finally picked up 3/11 at 2am! My items were not delivered until 4/14 and I was chg'd an add'l $200 @ delivery because a different company (Oz Movers) did the delivery. Oz movers confirmed I only had 200 or less cu. ft. I'm missing a rug & 2 boxes for which I filed a report. I was recently notified that the company that was handling X-press Vanlines claims,, no longer handles them. In the meantime, I had filed a BBB complaint. They did not respond to the request for arbitration therefore BBB revoked accreditation & they now have an F grade. I have followed up with Sergio @ Xpress Vanlines in regard to my missing items via email and have received innappropriate vulgar, explicit, rude responses from him. These have been forwarded to BBB & to FL Dept. of Consumer affairs where I have also filed a complaint. Next step is having my attorney contact them. This is the absolute WORST company ever! Google them & you will see! If I could select no stars I would.
