I placed an order for business cards online via their website. Then after I submitted, I needed to cancel for a few reasons: I had forgotten an important piece of information that needed to be on the cards, and my husband had already gotten me a deal on business cards elsewhere. I tried to cancel my order on the site, but it would not allow me to do so (this was a Sunday). I decided to wait for the proof to change or cancel, but I did not receive a proof in two days. Then I called their office and spoke with Nelson. I told him that I was not able to cancel online and for him to cancel my order. He put me on hold, came back, and told me that his manager him that I would be charged a 15% cancellation fee. I asked him what the fee was for, and he told me that it was for credit card services. I asked him if my credit card company had charged them that much, and he said "no". I asked him to explain the services they provided me for the 15% fee they were charging me, and he told me that although "no work had been done yet" for my order, it was for using the website. He then told me that I should have read the terms on the website. I then told him that it was not good business practice to charge customers for using the website and asked to speak to the manager. He then told me that the manager was not in the office, which was confusing to me because he had told me earlier that the manager had told him to charge me a 15% cancellation fee. I then asked for his name and told him to tell the manager to call me. I asked for the manager name, and he told me it was Oscar. Then he told me that I was "wasting my time because the manager would tell me the same thing". I then told him it was poor customer service, the way he was speaking to me and treating me on the phone. I asked his manager to call me today. Still no call. This is definitely poor business practice, poor customer service, and I feel like I've been scammed. I am not even sure if Nelson canceled my order like I asked him to.
