Adco Media has been pretty good so far for my business. I got a ½ page for $1700 w art and compared to the other things I am doing it was reasonable. I did a mass mailer with a company that started with a V and ended with a K (did not want to say there name) and did not get the results I was looking for.
I have read some things on the internet and wanted to write a review here as I did see negative reviews and wanted to share with everyone what I found out. There is a fake company out there calling themselves ADCO Media and they are ripping people off. Just ask the rep where the company is located. If they say anything but California (Encino) they are the fake one and report them to the real ADCO. This is the good company as I have done business with them two months ago and I am definitely seeing business from it, already more than the mailer.
My ad looked great and I have been getting business from the net and commercials for sure because I do very detailed questioning from all my walk in customers and phone inquiries. I had it put in my local grocery store.
I would advise everyone to make sure that the rep you are dealing with has a Adco Media card that has a 818 number, or local branch number, and the REP HAS AN agreement that has “Encino, CA” on it. The others do not have their California address on it. I got this info from a friend who got nailed by the bad company. I called the real ADCO and they were very nice, and actually gave her a substantial discount to help her out to get in the real program because she spent all her money on the fake one. I tried to get them to give the discount to me to for referring her over! I took a shot…. LOL They said they will get me something off on my renewal because they already had the book printed and closed. I understand. I will hold them to that though on my renewal. Mr. Levine was his name, and he was really nice. I can tell he really went through a bit of hassle to get that discount for my friend. To me personally, that speaks volumes for a company. That definitely earned my loyalty. Only negative thing I would say, well, not really bad, but my ad was a bit late getting into the location. I personally don’t really care as long as I get business.
