My walkway and patio was covered with ceramic tiles that were old and becoming loose. I called the company and a salesman responded. He looked at the situation where there were holes and cracks in the concrete base under the tiles. He assured me that they would all be taken care of. He also told me that the overlay required pressure cleaning and resealing about every 2 years at a cost of $200.00. In November 2008 the company installed an overlay on my patio and walkway. I was so pleased with the way it looked that I sent an email telling them that I would be happy if they photographed it and used it for promotional purposes. About 2 weeks later many cracks appeared and I phoned them. The salesman assured me that when we resealed the surface in 2 years he would fix the cracks. Apparently the concrete base was not treated as he had promised before the job was done. I believed that he was a man of his word so I did nothing further. I called about resealing. The salesman came out and saw the cracks again and also a piece that had popped up out of the walk. He assured me that it could be fixed when the resealing was done. He also told me that the cost for pressure cleaning and resealing was now $700.00. I reminded him that he had told me the cost would be $200.00 and that I did should not have to pay $700. He told me in that case that he would not repair the chip.
That is the story. Now I have an overlay that is full of cracks and is beginning to chip away. I also understand that the verbal promises made by Jose are not supported by any written contract. At the same time I feel cheated and requested them to honor his promises and do the right thing. They have not responded to numerous phone calls and email.
