Review 12/31/2009
UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS POST BELOW!

They are a scam, don't trust them! Just spoke with my lender this morning and Bank Modificaion Experts did send in for a 3rd party authorization, BUT they never did anything since that...DIDN'T try ONCE to contact my lender. My lender also let me know that this authorization has expired, so even if the company had tried to call to save my home from auction, my lender would not have been allowed to talk to them. What makes it even worse is how they changd their name to Premier Legal Advocates, that means in NO WAY are they fighting for you because I am sure that since they couldn't even contact their clients and tell them about the "name change", then they for sure haven't contacted any of our lenders. Which, is totally obivious in my case. As my lender said, "I'm so sorry, but they have not done ONE thing for you!"

Not only was the contract a lie, but what Brian Pascal continued to tell me these past couple of days was a total lie. They aren't trying to talk to my lender because they don't even have access to them. They won't know 1-2 days before my house goes to auction if it's saved, total lie. I don't need to make a house payment to try and get 30 more days...he was just trying to buy time to perhaps save their butts. I then e-mailed a formal letter with these things outlined: 1. I showed the documentation from the day I signed contract up until now 2.asked for copies of what they have done with my lender 3.copies of the "letter" they supposedly sent to their clients regarding the name change, here is the reply I got back:

"We will do everything we can to further your auction. The best thing you can do at this point is 3 things.

1. We are going to continue working on your case but we have no control over if the person who controls your file is having a bad day and declines your loan. We cannot control that so I would say you have some choices.

1. File for Bankruptcy

2. Hope we have an approval for you shortly

3. Pay off the bank what you owe them

4. Walk away from the house

We will help you as much as you can and we have an over 90% success rate with some form of an approval but if you want to take other legal measures to ensure the safety of your home I am guessing you are talking about Bankruptcy, is that correct?"

How copy and pasted was this?? In a previous e-mail, he rudely said to me,

"Here is the bottom line – without us – you would have lost your house a long time ago.

With us we can continue to try and push it and push it away until we get an approval. There is a 3% chance we won’t be able to do that, very small.

If you have saved up any money that would have helped, but if you don’t the bottom line is you have no other options anyway.

We don’t advise you to talk to them – at least not yet – but we will let you know if that changes at anytime.

Brian"

Funny how he threatened me with without them I wouldn't have stayed in my house this long?!?! I REPEAT, THEY DID NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME!?!?!?!?! My lender can prove it!!! And not to talk to the bank, total BS!! There was obviously a reason they didn't want me talking to the banks!!

To end this posting, DO NOT do business with their new name either, PREMIER LEGAL ADVOCATES.

1) File a complaint with the Attorney General
http://ag.ca.gov/contact/complaint_form.php?cmplt=CL

2) Call HUD and report them

3) Ask for you full refund back

4) Look into filing a lawsuit against them. I am going to start with the Attorney General and see where I go from there. The $2,700 refund is not the matter here, it is the fact that this company has caused me to ALMOST lose my house ( I am trying to work with my bank right now, I have 15 days!)

It's extremely scary to think that this company has all my contact information, my social, my accounts, etc... such a shame!!

Hi All!!

Okay, I got a letter in the mail saying my house would be put up for auction on January 19th. I wasn't too worried since I knew I had hired Bank Modification Experts. I then tried e-mailed and calling, and found that the e-mail was returned and the phones were disconnected. Panic set in, and then and now still in tears...

I then read through the posts and saw that someone posted a number for Brian Pascol, with his extension. I then called it, and was directly connected to Brian. The whole time I was talking to him, I was in tears. He let me know that Bank Modification merged with a new company and had a new name. He said that all clients were notified by mail about the new name and new contact information. But, he also said about 300 or so don't know about the change and I was part of them. I let him know that was fine, but why was I sitting here looking at the Better Business Bureau and seeing that they were a scam. He quickly let me know that the 15 or so complaints were from people just like me that haven't been notified of the change. He then gave me his personal fax number and said for me to fax over the letter ASAP, and that he would personally be taking on my case. He said it wasn't too late to save my house. We will see what happens...

Here is his number: 1(888) 303-0868

Let me know what happens please!!!
