SAVE YOUR MONEY and take a class somewhere else. I needed a re newel for BLS and decided to take it at CC since it had the soonest class. I paid $75 (which is crazy for BLS, i have never paid over $40) They did not issue a card at the end of the class; they gave out "certificates" (which most nursing jobs will not approve of, you need proof of your BLS card) and told me the card would be in the mail with in 2 weeks, but they have 30 days to get it to you. 2 months, 5 phone calls and one hand written letter later i drove all the way up to Davie to the office to personally ask for the card. Twice on the phone i was told they would mail it out; told me "the printers have been down" and they would get it out tomorrow. I specifically said my job depends on this card; without it i can not work. Still no card for one week. And i lost my potential nursing job. When i went there personally the women there was the same women who had answered my every call, same women who told me it would be mailed out, and same women who announced at the class that the tests had to be "sent to the office and graded, and then the card will be sent to you" That is a lie, they do everything in that office and the cards can be made there. She aggressively slammed around the pinter, attempted to print my card 4 times, and finally when it was printed, printed the wrong dates for the expiration. She never apologized for the fact that i had to PERSONALLY come there after 2 MONTHS to pick up my card, or that i had lost a job over their responsibility of providing this card to me. This should not be an issue, you pay the fee to refresh your knowledge in BLS and to obtain a BLS card. I would never take a course here again, business is done horrible and i was treated incredibly rude.
