A+? How can the BBB give an A+ to a company that's main source of revenue is scamming the public? Shame on the Better Business Bureau!!! This company has charged unsuspecting consumers of hundreds of thousands -- or possibly -- millions of dollars -- in unwanted cell phone charges. Over the past year, I have cancelled my texting plan with my cell phone company. That didn't work. I told my cell phone company to block their number. That didn't work. Finally, my cell phone company says they have come up with a solution. The total bill charged to my credit card -- $89.
This company is probably "legit" because they had notification of the charges buried in a privacy statement. I don't know. I don't know how they scammed me. But make no mistake. Their intentions are to have unsuspecting consumers sign up for their service. Better Business Bureau -take heed -- this is not a A+ company. If your job is to warn consumers about unreputable companies, then rate Playphone F. If I could give them no stars, I would.
