This company was the worst company I have ever moved with. I was supposed to have my furniture picked up on Monday 2-09-2009 as I had to leave the state 7pm that day, my original rep told me that the movers would for sure be there before then. I never heard from the company or the driver, and was forced to leave the state. I was advised to write a letter giving authorization for my friend to sign my paperwork since I would not be there. I agreed for that to occur on 2-09-2009, but the movers called at 9pm stating they could not come until 12am!! They then advised we wait until the next morning (of course they had to because they could not move in the dark! And my apartments have noise laws!). The driver was late the next day as well, and upon arrival DOUBLED my estimated weight even though I had thrown most of the items on my inventory check list out. He then never contacted me with the weight of my move, after calling and harassing the company for the last 2 days, I finally was told that I owe an additional $2408.67!! I only have boxes, and an entertainment center, which do not add up collectively to reach that amount! I spoke with a rude rep named Kim that talked over me, and hung up on my fiance. I am going to take legal action against the company for breach of contract and I would not recommend anyone use this company, even if they are the last company on earth. Now they are holding my furniture somewhere and will not tell me where it is, or when it will be delivered.
***UPDATE*** 11/25/09 I have since filed a claim against the company more than 5 months ago, and have yet to find out where my claim check is. They "mis-weighed" my furniture since I was not there when they picked it up. I demanded a re-weigh at delivery and was told it would cost $150! I called the DOT and they said it was illegal to charge for a re-weight. Sky Moving dropped the fee. Upon re-weigh, there was a $612 discrepency! Now I'm still waiting. I have contracted a lawyer to handle this b/c obviously this company cares NOTHING about their customers. I don't recommend ANYONE utilize this company.
