Great deals, disappointing customer service.
I have shopped at SonicElectronix on and off for years but this was the first time I ran into issues. I ordered a new stereo (Kenwood DDX6703S) for a new truck I bought. I specifically rushed to get my order in on Wednesday night because it stated delivery by Friday. I checked my order the next day and was still sitting in verification and had I not called customer service (which I waited on hold for close to 30 mins) who knows when they would have called me to verify my details in order to process my order (which I do understand with the amount of fraud and it being the holiday season) but because it was now after 2pm my order would not be processed and shipped until Friday (I was also incorrectly told that because the wiring harness that came with the order was backordered until 12/16 that they would hold my whole order until all the parts were in stock to ship). I asked if they would upgrade it to overnight shipping (I told the customer service rep I would pickup a wiring harness locally) so I would have the unit on Saturday and after a brief hold they agreed, of course now that I was having it shipped to my house instead of work (Ky vs OH) I now had to pay an additional $30 in tax. I paid the fee figuring at least I would have the radio to install over the weekend. I get the tracking number later Friday evening and find that it is now now scheduled to be delivered until Monday. I did receive the unit towards the end of the day on Monday and ended up taking off work in order to have the time to install it correctly. This being the first time I ever ran into an issue with SonixElectronix I was surprised to have one thing after another with this whole order. i am planning on redoing the whole system after being so happy with the new head unit but I will have to seriously consider all options on where I get the remaining equipment after this unfortunate series of issues.
