Must second (or third or fourth ...) the opinions of others. I may have used the services of send2fax, some kind of subsidiary of J2 Global, for business purposes some years ago. I cancelled my account and gave no further thought to it. Then, this summer, $402.52 in charges, billed to my company credit card, showed up on my online expense account. They turned out to have been racked by a fictional character named Chris Salvory, according to send2fax. I disputed those, and they were temporarily removed from my credit card (which the bank closed at the time). Due to a paperwork mixup, I missed the 60-day period for filing paperwork on a fraudulent issue, so the bank told me to work directly with send2fax. They asked for a law enforcement report - sent that - and took more than a month to "investigate" the matter. Then, today, I hear back from their "second level" support that my request for a refund has been denied - outside the time frame. Meanwhile, another company in Virginia, which also had fraudulent charges on my company credit that were posted in April 2010, appears to be working things out for a refund of about $60. Lesson: some companies can work with, some can't. AVOID J2 GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS. I am now looking for any legal/regulatory relief available.
